David A. Brenner, M.D., M.S.

Dr. Brenner is a board-certified neurologist with diverse clinical experience. He has practiced as a faculty member at an academic medical center (University of Alabama at Birmingham), outpatient neurologist at a private practice (Alabama Neurological Institute) and has provided coverage at Montgomery's primier hospital (Baptist Medical Center South); Dr. Brenner currently practices as neurohospitalist at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, Alabama.

Dr. Brenner has a master's degree in biostatistics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health, where he was involved in stroke epidemiology research. In addition, Dr. Brenner has international experience as a stroke fellow at Bichat University Hospital/Denis Diderot Medical School in Paris, France. He has been an invited speaker at the International Stroke and European Stroke Conferences; he has several publications and has authored a book chapter for the Handbook of Clinical Neurology.
